Top Down Water Damage

While a leaking roof is a cause for worry most individuals do not understand the need to get them fixed as quickly as possible.  This home had a roof leak that was unattended for quite some time.  The weight of the water in the insulation finally was more than the ceiling could hold.  Now this homeowner has to dispose of the porous material that the insulation landed on.  Insulation has fiberglass particles in it and can be a hazard once it has touched porous materials.  IICRC standards state all this porous material should be disposed of as soon as possible.
